Sure enough, Custard Cream spread is available for purchase on the Tesco website for the low price of £1.99. There is also a Bourbon Biscuit spread, but who would ever want that?
There’s no clear indication of what spurred the retailer to make this bold decision – a Facebook page entitled ‘They should make jars of Custard Cream filling to spread on toast’ has garnered only 12 likes.
